New Year Mantra

Happy New Year!  I don’t know about you, but it has been rough getting back into the swing of things. I had great intentions of starting my “refresh” this week, but have been traveling for work so it’s been a rocky start.  I took a moment to stop my head from swirling and said out loud “it’s okay”.  We are human and very hard on ourselves.  Which prompted me to think about the one thing I want to focus on this year and “be kind to yourself” came to mind in flashing lights.

I want to be kind to my mind and body – focusing on the things that are positive, healthy, and kind.  I realize that is all encompassing, but hey I like a good theme 🙂

For those of you who make resolutions or goals, I wish you the best and know you can do it!  Give yourself a break and remember to be kind to yourself.

Work Happy

I don’t know about you, but I love me some fun office supplies.  There’s nothing better than a crisp new notebook to write to-do lists (yup I’m a dork).  I discovered Poppin products last year and can’t bring myself to write in a non-monogrammed notebook again.  Their notebooks, desk accessories etc. are fun, sleek and practical.  I received my new monogrammed notebooks and I’m ready to write the pages of my 365 day story.

New Year/New Perspective

As we reflect on the past year and the new one approaching, it’s easy to focus on what didn’t happen or what we want to fix next year.  Resolutions are great, but they’ve never been “my thing”.  I’ve decided next year i’m going to focus on the good stuff that brings joy and happiness into my life.

My dear friend gave me a happiness jar to fill with notes about all the good things that happen throughout the year.  Then next New Year’s, empty it out and read all the wonderful things that happened.  I thought this was such a great perspective to have as we end an amazing year and start an even better one.  I wish all of you a wonderful, safe and happy New Year!  Cheers to 2015!!!
